Want Overnight Results?

Author: Ray Reyes

We have seen the "quick fix" everywhere....The "10 mins a day and you lose weight", "3 days per week for 20 mins and you will get a six pack", or the guy on the infomercial who is "ripped" while doing some abdominal work.  Yup!  Everyone seems to have the answer yet they never work!

IT TAKES HARD WORK

If you're looking for the answer in this article, stop reading now. The answer is.....There is no such thing as, "Overnight results."  It never fails, at least once a week I'll be in the gym training and someone comes up and asks me, "What supplements do you take to look like that?".  I tell them, politely, that no single supplement I take alone makes me look the way I do.  I've been training for over 8 years now.  Everyone is always looking for that one "magic" pill that will make them skinny or have muscles.  I didn't wake up one day and have a six pack or a V-tapered back.  My physique is a product of years and years of training.  It takes an incredible amount of passion, discipline, and HARD WORK to look like the guys or girls you see on the cover of fitness magazines or on social media, i.e., Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, etc.  Fitness is truly a lifestyle that you must live day in and day out in order to reach your goals.  It is not easy to dedicate an hour or two out of your day to working out.  You have to be willing to really change your life for the better if you're going to make it happen.  However, remember this, the amount of work you put in will equal the amount of work you get out of it.  With that being said, get up and get to work!!!

MAKE THE COMMITMENT

I know you are probably thinking, "I don't have that much time in my day to spend in the gym", "When I get home from work, I'm too tired to workout", or "I have other obligations".  The list goes on and on.  If you really want to make the change in your life you have to make it happen and MAKE THE COMMITMENT.  Maybe you have to put down the TV remote or the video game controller.  Whatever it may be that's holding you back, own up to it and take control of your life.  Nobody is going to do it for you, you have to push yourself.  One of my favorite quotes is, "If it was easy, everyone would be doing it."

SET SMALL GOALS TO HELP YOU ACCOMPLISH YOUR LARGER GOAL

I've seen people transform their body at all ages and with all limitations.  In order to do this you must wake up everyday with a goal in mind for that day.  Make these daily goals attainable but test yourself so you can ensure you're giving it everything you've got. That's the only way you're going to accomplish anything in life.  Always remember, it's not a sprint it's a marathon.  Those small daily goals will eventually add up to a much larger goal.  In addition, tailor your training to your liking, keeping your goals in mind.  If your training is boring you're not going to last long.  Maybe you'd rather walk/run with your dog, go on a hike, or even go on a bike ride rather than spending time in the gym.  All of these options are acceptable and can help reach your goals.  Training doesn't have to be boring!  Make sure you are entertained so that you look forward to doing it day in and day out.  Get motivated and change your lives today!!!!
